This course is intended for riggers and production personnel for the use of fall protection equipment whilst working at height, and rescue. The course has been created for the entertainment, theatre, film, television and events industry.

  • Explain the legal requirements relating to working at height
  • Explain the hierarchy of controls under the working at height
  • Identify the PFPE equipment and equipment required to carry out a rescue
  • Use of fall protection equipment when climbing truss, ladders and steel work
  • Carry out a rescue using specified rescue equipment
  • Discuss and review recertification and training

Candidates need to be physically fit and free from any disability or medical condition that may prevent them from working safely. Minimum age is 18. A self-certified statement of reasonable fitness will be requested prior to attendance and candidate should not suffer from claustrophobia.
